Commercial Documents/Certificate of Q&Q (CQQ Committee)

This workgroup is focused on the need to automate the exchange of structured inspection data, developing a standard XML format for nomination appointments (energy company to inspection company) and key inspection results (inspection company to energy company).

February 2008 -- The workgroup has arranged with Navarik Corporation to accept its current xml schema as a contribution into the LEAP standard. This initial contribution will be limited to key quantity and quality data exchanged as inspection summaries, and inspection invoicing. The contribution will include full web service (WDSL). It is intended that this will be the first of many such contributions to the LEAP standard both from Navarik and other industry players.

The CQQ workgroup has been working with the LEAP board to formulate a legal structure which will protect the intellectual property of contributors whilst allowing LEAP to sub-license to its user base at little or no cost.

It is expected that the initial code base will be available to download from the LEAP standards repository website in Q2 2008. At that point the workgroup will solicit interested members to actively review the xml on an on-going basis, suggesting amendments for LEAP approval and subsequent inclusion in the LEAP standard.

LEAP is committed to leverage existing standards wherever possible. CQQ group is working with the reference data and eBLs workgroups, and with UNeDocs to establish ref data standards for the exchange of inspection data in particular.
