Draft Compliance Clauses for UK Refined Product Import Ban Published

    Introduction

    Energy LEAP is pleased to publish draft compliance clauses in response to the UK amendment of the import ban on refined products (CN code 2710) obtained from Russian origin crude oil (CN code 2709) and processed in third countries using Russian crude oil, as reflected in The Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and the General Trade Licence for sanctioned processed oil products that came into force 20th May 2026.

    The working group will continue to monitor and adjust the necessary wording considering any additional information which arises, and welcomes any feedback encountered in the use of these clauses.
